JIP Cancer Graduation Award 2016

Applications are invited for this year’s JIP Cancer Graduation award sponsored by the Institute of Pathology of the Jena University Hospital. Graduates of the medical and other faculties of the Friedrich-Schiller- University Jena who performed their dissertation in the field of cancer research and finished the doctoral thesis with "magna cum laude" or "summa cum laude" in 2015 or 2016 can apply for this award.

Though the numerous abstracts that have already been submitted, additional submissions are still welcome. The abstract deadline is extended until March 24th.

The organizers also would like to remind those who recently finished their dissertation to apply for the JIP cancer graduation award. The awardee is expected to present his work during the symposium.

The procedure will be the same as last year, i.e.

• all applications will be scored by an independent jury of scientists
• the prize money is 1000 €
• the award will be allocated during the 8th Postgraduate Symposium on Cancer Research (23 April 2016)
• the awardee is invited to present his work during the symposium
