The Invisible Blood Battles
The comic book “The invisible blood battles – Chapter one: Sepsis” tells an exemplary story of an acute sepsis: from the ambulance to diagnosis, correct choice of antibiotics, course of treatment, and possible complications. By changing the perspective from the outside to the inside the patient‘s body, the comic illustrates the connection of physiological processes to the clinical procedures. The comic was developed by Zakaria Hindi, an internist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and illustrated in collaboration with Paul Anderson.
Dr. Hindi would like to upgrade his medical comic project by creating comics about other medical topics which requires funding to continue the excellent quality.
