Design Instructions/submission requirements

Guidelines for the design of the dissertation:

• Please note the guidelines for dissertations at the Faculty of Medicine.
• A design sample for the title page of the dissertation as well as the honorary declaration can be found here as a Word-Template.
  The information on it is binding. Please check in particular the wording of the declaration of honor.
• Recommendations for citation can be found here Citation

Instructions for the correction of dissertations based on reviews

The Dean´s Office will inform you in writing whether something needs to be corrected. What needs to be corrected can be seen by reviewing the report.

For proof of correction, a pdf file to is required.

Required is a tabular and comprehensible list of the places/paragraphs/statements to be corrected and the indication of the corrected page of the dissertation with color highlighting of the corrected paragraphs/statements. (Example Notes Corrections due to reviews)

Notes on the design of the defense

A lecture of 15 minutes duration (Dr. med./Dr. med. dent.) or of 30 minutes duration (Dr. rer. nat./PhD./Dr. rer. medic.) has to be prepared. The presentation should be divided into: Introduction, problem statement, material and method part, result part and evaluation of the results. This will be followed by the scientific discussion.

• For the digital presentation in the defense, the logo use is allowed. For work that has been done in an institution of the UKJ, this marking with the UKJ logo is desired.
  The corresponding files and templates are deposited in the Corporate Design der FSU or in the Intranet of the UKJ. Or you can use the PowerPoint-template: PowerPoint-Präsentation

Submission of the dissertation to the ThULB after defense
