Tasks according to the basic rules of the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena from July 18, 2007, in the version dated 02.04.2012

Supporting the Studiendekan in the performance of its tasks according to § 24

• The Dean takes the tasks connected with teaching and studies within the framework of the Dean's overall responsibility.
• The Studiendekan, in particular, is responsible for the duties pursuant to Section 19, Paragraph 2, No. 2, "to ensure the observance of the student regulations and to contribute to a proper and complete course of study with the aim of enabling study within the regular study period" (§ 25, para. 7), the tasks according to § 19 para. 2 no. 4 "to ensure and coordinate the counseling according to § 50 ThürHG".
• He has to report annually to the Faculty Council on the quantitative and qualitative fulfillment of the tasks of the faculties of the faculty, the observance of the regulations and the performance of his tasks.
• The Study Commission supports the Dean in carrying out his tasks. In particular, it can convene study conferences in a study course (Section 25 (7)) for an in-depth analysis of the study situation.
