FACS / Cell Sorting/ Cell analysis

The Institute of Immunology provides the possibility to

• multi-dimensional mass cytometric analyses of cells : CyTOF Helios (STB)
• analyses of cells by flow cytometry: FACS CANTO (BD)
• sorting of cells by FACS: FACSAria (BD)
• sorting of cells using paramagnetic beads: autoMACS (Miltenyi Biotec)
• data analyses and illustration of results

These techniques enable scientists to isolate cells (or other particles) from cell mixtures. Living cells can then be used for continuative studies and cell cultures.

Use of devices at the Institute of Immunology

• For initial contact, please contact the operational management of the Device Center Cytometry:
• We recommend that you contact us for each use/service to discuss planned attempts, necessary controls and device settings.
• Technical and operational support: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 am or by prior arrangement.

• Please use our “Checklist for FACS Cell Analysis/Cell Sorting” when preparing your cells.
• Please fill out the  Formblatt for new experiments and return it to us.
