Research topics
We do both basic research and clinical immunology. Our research interests focus on chronic inflammation and immunoregulation. In chronic inflammation we investigate the induction and therapeutic modulation of pathogenic immune responses in arthritis. Regarding immunoregulation we investigate how immune responses are fine tuned in different cells and tissues by the interaction of the receptor for interleukin-33 (IL-33R) with other receptors. More recently, we have begun to investigate immunoregulation in the aging immune system.
