AVATAR - Development of medical databases, data synthesis and method-related education for the health sector
The project
The project is part of the BMBF-funded competence cluster "Anonymization of personal health data by generation of digital avatars (AVATAR)". The joint project consists of 18 partners.
Funding
Federal Ministry of Education and Research (funding code: 16KISA025)
Duration
until November 2025
Aim of the overall project
The aim of the overall project is to develop a new approach for anonymizing personal health data. From a decentralized data pool, data with the desired characteristics are extracted on request and digital avatars are created from them, which are to be understood as artificial persons based on real data.
Specific targets of our group
-
-
-
-
- Acquisition, evaluation and modelling of (internationally) available medical data sets
- Data acquisition and data anonymisation, e.g. through synthesis of realistic medical images, sequence data, etc.
