General Information about Jena
When you study in Jena, of course, you are supposed to attand to lectures and seminars, to read plenty of books and scripts, and to pass your exams. But life is more than this.
With the links below, you will find information about student life, which can help you to master your studies outside of the seminar rooms:
Housing
Finding an accommodation in jena is not always be as easy. The main point of contact for new students is Thuringian student services organization (Studierendenwerk Jena). They offer low-cost living space throughout Jena.
The Thuringian student services organization administers 28 residence halls with ~3100 accommodation options consisting mainly of single rooms and single apartments. Currently, rent prices range between 150 and 380 euros. A list of appartments available in jena can be found here (along with a description of the location and the equipment). All flats have basic furniture included.

Counselling
In life not always everything turns out exactly as you have planned it before. If things go wrong, some of the councelors of the Studierendenwerk might help you with problems you are faced with. See the webpage of the Studierendenwerk for more details.
