Introductory Materials
This website contains introductory videos which give you some insight into the basics of fluorescence microscopy (block 1) and more sophisticated methods used for fluorescence lifetime imaging (block 2). Please, have a look at this material, before you start the course.
Block 1 - Basics of fluorescence microscopy
- Introductory lecture: An introductory lecture will be given during the summer school. A video of the lecture will be added soon.
- Practical introduction to epifluorescence microscopy: Video
- Practical introduction to confocal laser scanning microscopy: Video

Copies of the slides used in the lectures and manuals for the devices used in the practical course will be available here. Students interested in this course will receive login and password upon request.
Possibly some material we have compiled for our the master's programme M.Sc. Medical Photonics might be of interest for you. The modules "Microscopy" (Modul 2.3) and "Biological Microscopy" (Modul S3.1) give an introduction into modern microscopic techniques. Students interested in these courses or the Master's programme in general can get login and password upon request.
