Doctoral researchers have regular meetings with their thesis committees and submit annual reports about their work (both as oral presentation and as written report). The thesis committee for PhD students consists of the project leader plus two group leaders or senior postdocs outside the group of the project leader. For medical students 2 thesis committee members are required.

The ProMoAge qualification programme consists of mandatory and elective modules. Mandatory modules comprise ProMoAge-specific events, activities in the individual research groups and courses in good scientific practice, biostatistics and transferable skills.

Elective modules involve lecture series of local graduate schools, guest lectures of interest, transferable skill courses presented by local graduate academies and on-demand methods courses offered by ProMoAge groups.

Qualification Environment

ProMoAge is embedded in an excellent qualification environment in which age research is already well established. The participating universities feature graduate academies with graduate schools covering topics of molecular and clinical medicine and life sciences.
