Program 2024
The practical course comprises four major complexes (Molecular Biology, Signaling, Biophotonics, and Disease) with 6-7 modules, respectively. The candidates will select one module from each complex and complete four independent modules in a weekly rhythm. They will be supervised by experienced researchers and receive maximal assistance by advanced PhD students or post-docs. The results will be presented and discussed in accompanying group seminars. Practical courses and tutorials are from Tuesday to Friday. The courses are accompanied by a lecture series covering current themes of molecular research (scheduled every Monday 9:00 -12:15 a.m. and 1:45 -4:00 p.m.)
All courses will be held in English. At the end of the program, a final meeting will take place and the students will present selected results in oral communications. The participation in the Summer School is certified. Successful candidates with excellent results during the training can apply for PhD positions in the research groups participating in the School.
