The goal of INDEED is to characterize patients in emergency departments and preceding and subsequent utilization of transsectoral ambulatory health care services. Frequencies of adequate, inadequate und potentially avoidable utilization of emergency departments will be determined. Subgroups and clusters with similar care profiles will be identified considering triage categories, ambulatory care sensitive conditions, multimorbidity of chronic diseases, demographic information etc.

BMBF (NUM) 2020 - 2021
The aim of the collaborative research project AKTIN is to establish a uniform data registry for all Emergency Departments in Germany. The project is based on the Emergency Department data protocol developed by DIVI (German Interdisciplinary Association of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine). Jena University Hospital is one of the 15 institutions, which will develop and pilot the national Emergency Department registry.

The aim of „ENQuIRE“ is to evaluate indicators for the quality of medical care of emergency patients for their impact on outcome. Quality data from the emergency department and outcome data from the secondary care provider will be documented and analyzed for a relevant association.
