Our highly specialized patient care focuses on outpatient and inpatient diagnostics and treatment of malignant systemic diseases and solid tumors, including autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation. Our department is involved in national and international research programs for the optimization of the treatment of malignant diseases and is in some cases responsible for them.
The focus of diagnosis and treatment of malignant systemic diseases are leukemias, lymphoma diseases and multiple myelomas, whereby the diagnosis and treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia and other myeloproliferative diseases is a special focus in the field of research. In the field of diagnosis and therapy of solid tumors, tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, tumors of the respiratory organs and soft tissue tumors (sarcomas) are in the foreground. In this area too, extensive activities in the context of clinical research are working to continuously improve the increasingly complex and increasingly individualized therapeutic options.
